White House Tour

White House tours must be submitted three (3) months in advance during peak season (March-September) to secure a tour.

Although the White House is a wonderful tour, I strongly urge you not to plan your visit to Washington around this tour. It is the most challenging tour to arrange. Even after its confirmation, the tour can be canceled due to sudden changes in the Presidential family schedule. My office will do its best to arrange your tour, but please be open to alternatives such as other tours or a visit to the White House Visitors Center. It is essential to follow the guidelines for your application to be considered.

The following are policies determined by the White House for those requesting tours through Congressional Offices:

  • Tours may be requested up to three (3) months in advance and no later than four (4) weeks before the requested tour date.
  • Tours are available from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. from Tuesday - Saturday.
  • The White House handles all the logistics for approving constituent requests for tour tickets.

U.S. Capitol Tour

Please visit https://www.visitthecapitol.gov/ to book a Capitol tour.

The Capitol Visitor Center is open Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Professional tour guides lead all tours. Please enter through the Capitol Visitor Center, located underground on the east side of the Capitol. Please leave time to go through security and review the U.S. Capitol's prohibited items list before your visit.

You have the best chance of receiving a U.S. Capitol tour by booking it directly through the CVC as soon as possible. Same-day tickets are available daily at 8 am. If you cannot reserve a tour on your own, there may be a possibility that my office can assist by providing a staff-led tour. Please know that staff-led tours are limited.

Please complete the tour request form to tentatively schedule a Congressional U.S. Capitol Tour, organized through my office. Please note that these start times are flexible. Tours last approximately one (1) hour to one-half hours (1.5) for the tour. Please be patient as some tours can last up to (3) three hours depending on the demand for tours in the Capitol at the given time. The tour includes a significant amount of walking, standing, and climbing stairs. Special accommodations such as wheelchairs are available upon request.
