Rep. Donald M. Payne, Jr. Speaks at Health Fair in Newark to Mark National Health Center Week

NEWARK, N.J. – Yesterday, Congressman Donald M. Payne, Jr. (NJ-10) spoke at Newark Community Health Centers, Inc.’s (NCHC) health fair to mark 2018 National Health Center Week, which recognizes the important role local health centers play in providing care to underserved communities.

“Community health centers provide services that keep our communities healthy and safe,” said Congressman Payne, Jr. “Our country and our economy are stronger and healthier when every American has access to quality, affordable health care. That’s why I will keep fighting for the people to save Obamacare, reduce health care costs, maintain funding for community health centers, and lower prescription drug prices. People should not be forced to put off getting health care they need. Because of the dedication of organizations like Newark Community Health Centers, they don’t have to.”

Newark Community Health Centers, Inc. provides comprehensive primary health care services to adults and children in Essex County, New Jersey.
