Washington, D.C.Congressman Donald M. Payne, Jr. (NJ-10) released the following statement after the U.S. House of Representatives voted to override the veto of the Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act:

“Today I voted to override the veto of the 9/11 bill. The families of the victims of 9/11 deserve the opportunity to pursue justice for the terrorist attacks. While I have carefully listened to and respect opposing concerns, I stand with 9/11 families as they seek the legal action they have long deserved.”
