Washington, D.C. — Congressman Donald M. Payne, Jr. released this statement today regarding the Senate passage of the third coronavirus stimulus aid bill.

"Every Congressional stimulus package must help working Americans first and foremost and this bill does that," said Congressman Payne, Jr. "It puts money in their pockets directly and increases payments for those who receive unemployment benefits. In New Jersey and across the country, we are seeing a record-setting number of workers applying for unemployment insurance. They need our help to pay bills and put food on the table during this economic crisis. I am proud of my Senate colleagues for making this bill about workers and I look forward to voting on it this week in the U.S. House of Representatives."
