Rep. Payne, Jr. Announces $300K for Rutgers Program to Promote Minority Small Businesses

Washington, D.C. — Congressman Donald M. Payne, Jr. is proud to announce that the Economic Development Administration (EDA) has awarded $300,000 to the Black and Latino Technology Angel Investment Fund of New Jersey at the Center for Urban Entrepreneurship and Economic Development at Rutgers University (Rutgers CUEED). The fund helps fulfill the Center's overall goals to promote more minority small business start-ups in Newark, NJ.

"This money is a great investment because it will help fund the next generation of small business entrepreneurs in Newark," said Congressman Donald M. Payne, Jr. "I want to congratulate Lyneir Ricardson and his team at the Center for their work to improve the small business climate in Newark and thank the EDA for choosing the Center for this award."
