Congressional Members Push for Study on National Grid

As we approach the first anniversary of Sandy, some New Jersey Congressional members want to make sure the national grid can withstand another major storm. Hurricane Sandy knocked out power to eight and a half million customers and cost billions of dollars in damages according to Congressman Donald Payne, Jr.“With power outages amounting to somewhere between 14 to 26 billion alone.” He’s sponsoring legislation to create the Smart Grid Study Act.
