Payne, Jr. Statement on Veterans Day

November 10, 2015

Newark, N.J. – Today, Congressman Donald M. Payne, Jr. (NJ-10) released the following statement in commemoration of Veterans Day, which falls on Wednesday, November 11:

“On this important day, we honor the brave members of our Armed Forces who have given so much to protect the rights and freedoms all Americans hold dear. We owe an immeasurable debt of gratitude to our veterans, who put themselves in harms’ way to ensure that we could continue to live in safety here at home. We must continue to do everything we can to provide veterans with the health care they need, eliminate the backlog of VA claims, and create good jobs for them to support themselves and their families.”
